Tashiro Tatsumi is the main commander of Exelion, headquarters of the anti-alien space fleet and guardian of the Gunbuster. In the last episode, captain Tatsumi will be in charge of every operations on the Eltreum; basically Tashiro takes every decisions concerning what to do and any military strategy, but the great decision the humans' future depends on will be taken by another person.
