Shigure is a wolf girl who tags along with Genzou in hopes of becoming rich. She is shrewd when it comes to money, usually picking up and selling other hunters' swords that they drop after being punched by Genzou for accidentally offending him. However, all her business ideas end badly, and she is in such grave debt at the start of the story that she agrees to sell herself into slavery to repay the loan.

When it comes to making decisions, Shigure is frequently the voice of reason, as opposed to Genzou's style of "punch first, ask questions later". To her dismay, she is also apparently the only one who worries about the household's finances, since Genzou brings in animals without concerning himself with whether he'll actually be able to support them.
